With the advent of World Communications Day, is 5G in place in China?

The world's first commercial 5G country has been captured by South Korea, but according to the user's reaction, the main problem of 5G in South Korea is the poor signal coverage and high cost.
On the contrary, our country, although not yet commercial, but major operators have launched a 5G test. According to incomplete statistics, at least 16 provinces and municipalities in China have made 5G calls, which has far exceeded the list of pilot cities published by the National Development and Reform Commission in April last year, and also exceeded the pilot plans announced by the three major operators last year. For example, Jiangxi and Anhui were not included in the pilot list previously issued by operators.
At the beginning of this year, major operators have completed the third phase test of 5G network. They have conducted field tests in more than ten provinces and cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Hangzhou. 5G has been applied in many different scenarios: China Mobile has completed 5G network coverage of Jinan West Station, Shandong Province & ldquo; two sessions & rdquo; high-definition live broadcasting and dialog connection; China Unicom 5. G signal covers the whole Tiananmen Square, with a peak speed of 3088 Mbps. China Telecom is responsible for the live broadcast and video return of Shenzhen Branch this spring evening, and has issued the first 5G SIM card. At the beginning of 4G, China Mobile won the first batch of 4G users by means of large area of signal coverage. Unicom and Telecom have learned the previous lessons. Today, the three major operators are building 5G base stations-ldquo; full-fired-rdquo; and the signal coverage is similar.
 

 
It is worth noting that in the 5G era, the three major operators may become & ldquo; the four major operators & rdquo; according to the understanding of non-network, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has agreed to participate in the 5G construction and build smart radio and television. The first national level-ldquo; 5G 4K new media platform-rdquo; built in CCTV, 4K HDTV transmission under 5G network. China Radio and Television has obtained 5G license, and the 5G era in China is believed to be more exciting.
So, when can we issue the official license? Without the official license, 5G commercial can not really land. According to the industry's general view, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will issue a licence on May 17, that is, three days later. May 17 is World Telecom Day, which is also in the middle of the year. Considering that the second half of the year will be pre-commercialized, and then enter the formal commercial after about one year of pre-commerce, this is a normal rhythm.
What can 5G commerce bring to us? According to the prediction made by China Institute of Information and Communication in the White Paper on 5G Economic and Social Impact, 5G will open a new era of mobile communication development, accelerate the process of economic and social digital transformation, and promote the development of China's digital economy to a new level. It is expected that in 2030, 5G will drive China's direct economic output of 6.3 trillion yuan, economic added value of 2.9 trillion yuan and employment opportunities of 8 million yuan; in terms of indirect contribution, 5G will drive total output of 10.6 trillion yuan, economic added value of 3.6 trillion yuan and employment opportunities of 11.5 million yuan.
